To drill into siding go near the top of the siding where it s most narrow. So drill a hole insert an anchor and then bolt the mounting bracket into place. Banana plugs connect directly into the speaker wire clips on the back of the speaker and receiver. Mounted the speakers directly onto the aluminum siding and brought the wire out through the eave through these feed through bushings from radio shack.
The vinyl or aluminum siding by itself isn t strong enough to support the weight of a speaker and the bracket will sag.
